Press Release

GREENHOUSE STUDIOS, AN INDEPENDENT FILM PRODUCTION COMPANY, LAUNCHES SLATE OF FILMS

Greenhouse Studios, LLC, an independent film production company is putting together financing for a slate of films to begin production in late 2010 on into 2012. (www.greenhousestudios.net) They are actively looking for finance partners to come on board and fund the slate of five films. One of the great things about this company is their ability to do everything on each film, from production to post-production. The staff at Greenhouse is very experienced and seasoned. They are a one-stop-shop when it comes to filmmaking. Greenhouse plans to shoot in various states that offer amazing tax incentives and credits to entice investors. Some of those states include, Ohio, Louisiana and Alabama. (www.theincentivesoffice.com) These incentives become very important, because it can help return some of the investors or financiers money before the film is actually released. The other thing that this independent production company is banking on to get the films out there for release is the attachment of at least one or two name actors to each film to ensure the return on investment.

The five films range from family adventure to drama. The independent film production company has gained a lot of momentum and interest from studios and other production companies. The entertainment company has tried to choose scripts that lend itself to wide audiences and have mass appeal. This may enable them to secure foreign pre-sales and possible some domestic theatrical distribution sales. The weekend is almost over....

It has been a nice and relaxing weekend, but it is back to the office tomorrow. The life of a producer is not a 9pm-5pm, but on the weekends that I am not in production I do get the opportunity to relax a little. Before I start to ramble on about my day I should give you a little history on me, Moni Boyce. I am a graduate of USC's School of Cinema-Television (which they now call Cinematic Arts). I busted my butt as an assistant to other producers for four years after graduating and then started independently producing on my own. Four short films and two features later, I started Greenhouse Studios with my sister and a friend. We just got through our first year as a brick-and-mortar company with five employees.

Right now I am trying to put together funding for one of my projects. In this economy I can tell you it is not easy. My employees have been the best. They are definitely on top of their game and have been working hard to see this film come together. I would love to go into production by the summer, but it will all depend on the financing. Besides finding this elusive money I still have other scripts to read, a budget to complete and many meetings to see this film come to fruition.
